Abstract

Background. Russia takes an active part in the formation of “all-European zone of higher education”, the central place of which is occupied by the Bologna process as a direction of renewal. This poses a series of questions concerning a consolidating factor in the process of the Russian joining the European educational domain. The goal of the article is to outline the positive and negative factors of this unification, which influence the competitiveness of our education.
Materials and methods. Materials of home and foreign authors of the recent 32 years, analytical reviews and historical papers, journals, textbooks, books, materials, monographs, Internet resources and etc.
Results. Russia’s joining the Bologna process is a tribute of time aiming at adjusting both systems.
Conclusions. To reach the major objective – giving new knowledge fit for the global labour market, we need, firstly, such organization of education which interests the other countries, secondly, a number of technologies for making adequate specialists.
